FELLOWSHIP
Opportunities
for people to get to know one another, enjoy common
pastimes or activities, or to support and encourage
one another are made available through a range of
fellowship groups:
FELLOWSHIP TEAS
Four times per
year Elders lead a short worship service followed by
a shared meal. The worship begins at 5.30pm usually
on a Sunday evening. The event is over by about
7.30pm to enable young families to get children to
bed.
CHOIR
Much more than a
fellowship group, members come together on Thursday
evenings at 7.45pm to prepare for Sunday worship and
future musical extravaganzas. However, its value as
a fellowship group cannot be understated – much
laughter, support and encouragement happens through
this group.
PLAYGROUP
Thursday mornings
10-11.30am at the church. Parents and pre-school
age children come together to play, learn, eat and
share the journey of life together.

PARENTS SUPPORT GROUP
Once a month this
group come together to share the joys and concerns
of Primary school aged parenting. They usually meet
for coffee or tea at 2pm on a Thursday before school
pick up at 3.00-3.30pm.
YOUTH GROUP
For the Junior
Youth Group, see our 'Upcoming Events' pages.
There are currently no Senior Youth Group activities
occurring, but we hope this is only a temporary
situation.
MEN'S GROUP
The men of our
congregation gather once a month for breakfast
(lashings of toast & toppings with tea, coffee or
Milo and social time together (or is it secret men's
business?). Often it is interspersed with a
particular activity, outing or task. They
meet on the first Saturday of the month at St
Thomas' at 9.00am.
LADIES' GROUP
Not to be outdone
by the men, the ladies of our
congregation have also started to meet once a month
- usually for a morning tea or coffee and a chat,
sometimes at the church but often at a cafe in the
local region. They meet on the third Saturday of the month
(starting at least) at St
Thomas' at 9.00am.

CRAFT GROUP
Monday afternoons
there is a buzz happening in the meeting room of the
church. It may be voices laughing, talking or
needles clacking … but it always means activity.
The craft group meet every second Monday afternoon
for a couple of hours to learn new skills, share
skills and make articles for use by local outreach
agencies.
CPU [Computer People
Unlimited]
A small but
enthusiastic self-help group that meets on Thursdays
at 1.30pm to help each other with the computer
problems and to learn about using various pieces of
software and the Internet. Although we
occasionally meet at St Thomas' for general discussions
or learning opportunities, we normally meet in individual members' homes
so each member gets hands-on experience with using
whatever current software we are learning about.
We've not yet branched into hardware, but, as the
'Unlimited' in our name says, all we need are the
people with the skills!
