EDUCATION
Learning more deeply about the stories of the Bible,
how these relate to our lives and enable us to
respond to God’s graciousness to us is an important
part of belonging to our church community.
Education programs are focused at various age groups
– children, youth and adults.
CHILDREN
Children stay in the worship service on Sundays.
Leaders aim to teach the children the stories of the
Bible, to enable them to know how the liturgy (flow of
the service) works, and to let them know that they are valued
members of the church community able to use their
gifts for God.
Creative Early Word segments, activity sheets
and the encouragement of children to take part in
worship and the life of the church are important
elements of this education.
Printed resource materials to assist families in
discussing church and the Bible are made available
through the congregation. Handy hints on
encouraging children are invaluable to parents
making the effort to build their children’s faith.
YOUTH
Youth education programs are in abeyance while we
are in the process of calling a new minister.
ADULTS
Again, while we are in the process of calling a new
minister, there are no adult Bible Study programs
running at the present time. However, several
times throughout the year there is an evening
Meditation group that meets over a period of several
weeks which gives adults the opportunity to reflect
meditatively on various faith issues.
